Flint Survival

In survival situation..?

If you could only bring 3 items, what would they be and why.
they have to be reasonable.. like.. flint.. not a boat.
opinions?

I would take:
1. A knife, good for many things.
2. Fishing gear, unless in the middle of a desert. If that's the case, a sheet of plastic and container to collect water.
3. A small caliber pistol or rifle, not necessary but nice.

In most situations the knife is all that would be needed, as protection, tool to find food or make other weapons. Shelter can be found in many places, caves, shallow pits, hollow trees and so on. Food is where you find it, leaves, grass, other plant life, animals, insects or worms.
The most important thing to have, however is knowledge of how to get by and survive on the least amount of supplies.
