why is a map a vital tool for survival???
uhhhh.....ive checked all ova d internet but i cant find it so i would like you people should please help me thanks
Jeff gave great advice in general, but if you're completely on your own, a map can be vital. This is not a situation where you got lost, where Jeff's advice is the best. A missing soldier or a missing child will be searched for.
If you're in a situation where you're intentionally alone in the wilderness, a compass isn't as useful without a map to give you some sort of reference point. You may know you're heading north, but where is that going to take you? Nowhere if your destination is to the south.
