Can I switch a airgun spring for a more powerful one?
I have a hammerli 490 express(aprox.495fps) Can I buy a spring off the internet that will change my airguns velocity to say 800 fps?
You can switch springs, but I highly doubt anyone makes one for your gun. There's only one guy in the world that makes aftermarket springs, and people from around the world orders his stuff. As far as making a spring for your gun, I doubt it. You can ask him, but like I said I doubt it.

Do you know how to replace the spring?
And do you have a spring compressor?
If you don't, I wouldn't try it. I'd send it to a airgunsmith.
