Cooking with CorningWare on a gas stove?
Hello..I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is ok to cook with Corningware using a gas stove? My mother in law moved into a new house but she always has used electric stoves before. Now that she will be using a gas stove she is not sure if it will be ok to use her corningware on the gas stove to.Thanks for any help.
My daughter went through the same problem. The food burned on the gas stove. I helped her solve the problem. Go to a hardware store and ask for a heat diffuser. It's a multi-layer metal disk that covers the burner, and diffuses the heat to make the heat even and less intense. It runs around $4 to $5, and has a handle so you can move it around after you've used it without burning your hands.
