Black Multi
My message text keeps defaulting to Multi Colored...How do I keep it JUST BLACK without always formatting?
You must have at some point made a blend of colors for your font. To access the font style and color controls, at the top of YM click on Messenger then Preferences and then Appearance Category. Where it says "Default font and color for message windows," click Change Fonts & Colors. This also includes chat room text as well as IM text. Set your font, font style, and size here. The Font Color is under Effects. Once you have everything set as you want click OK in the Message Text Style window. Then click OK on the Preferences window.
Please note that you will have to exit yahoo messneger and relaunch it for any permanent font changes to show. Right click yahoo icon by clock and choose exit and then relaunch it again. It should be to solid color now.
I am not sure if you need to uncheck a box that says always use color effects. When you are in the chat room click on the palette icon with the capital T on it this will open up another tool bar. Click on another palatte icon and then click on Color Effects. Since you do not want to see the multicolored blend uncheck the box that says "Always Use Color Effects." Then click OK in that window.
